Get started with Tellify

1. Install the SDK

Tellify ships as a single embeddable script. Drop the snippet below just before the closing </body> tag on every page where you want to collect subscribers. Copy your API key from the dashboard under Settings → API keys.

The SDK automatically registers the service worker and handles the browser permission flow. Set data-auto-prompt="false" if you want to trigger the opt-in prompt manually from your own button.

2. Collect subscribers

With auto-prompt enabled the SDK asks visitors for notification permission on their first visit. To wire it to your own UI instead, call the SDK from a click handler:

Every successful opt-in creates a subscriber in your Tellify dashboard, where you can review, segment, and target them.

3. Send a notification

Send a push from your backend by calling the REST API with your secret key in the X-Tellify-Key header:

You can also compose and schedule campaigns visually from the dashboard — no code required.

Platform plugins

Prefer not to touch code? Install the one-click Tellify plugin for your platform and paste your API key into its settings screen:

• WordPress — install the plugin, activate, paste your API key.
• Shopify — add the Tellify app and enable the storefront script.
• PrestaShop — upload the module and configure the key.
• Any other site — use the script snippet above.
